Zach's teaching resume stretches back over twenty years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from Northwestern University in 1999 and is currently 'Artist In Residence' at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance in Philadelphia. Zach is also adjunct faculty at The New School in New York City and formerly at U Mass Amherst.

Zach has taught masterclasses on the topics of string improvisation, the history and practice of jazz violin, composing and arranging for strings, and music business to students of all levels around the world.
