Are you a string player who is:

1) Struggling to use more advanced technique in your improvisations?

2) Tired of feeling like you never have the time (or energy) to practice both scales and improv in the same day?

3) Looking for new ways to engage your students in their daily practice?

4) Tired of a tech routine that never seems to get easier or bring you joy?

If so then this class is for you.

“From Scales to Skills” will cover fundamental techniques for both hands, including applied scale studies and bowing patterns, all within the context of improvisation. Unlock creative approaches to the classic exercises of Flesch, Galamian, Ševčík, and more, while simultaneously integrating your fingers with your imagination.

The class will run one hour with a thirty-minute Q&A at the end. This is a "play-along" class so bring your instrument. All levels are welcome. Participants will receive a Zoom link to attend as well as the “From Scales to Skills" eBook, backing tracks, and a recording of the class for review. Can’t make it for any of the times but still really want the information? No worries. You’ll still have access to the recorded class and materials.

Having great technique doesn’t mean that you have to become a musical robot. Being spontaneously creative in music doesn’t require you to stunt your technical abilities either.

Go “From Scales to Skills” and unlock your inner virtuoso in 2023!
